- Bushing Preparation: Inspect the bushing bore and taper for damage. Apply a thin film of anti-seize compound to the taper surface.
- Assembly: Place the bushing into the sprocket hub, align the bolt holes, and finger-tighten the cap screws.
- Positioning: Slide the assembly onto the shaft to the desired axial position.
- Tightening: Torque cap screws evenly in a star pattern to the manufacturer’s specified value.
- Verification: Spin the shaft by hand and verify free rotation. Check alignment with a straight edge or laser.
